8/2/10: NEVAEH VS. FORCE FIRST MATCH ANNOUNCED FOR SEPTEMBER WEEKEND! |
|
We here at FNWwrestling.net hope you're having a wonderful summer! We hope
you anticipate our return to action on September 24th in Butler &
September 25th in Cheswick as much as we do! It's with that hope that we're set to announce our first official match of that huge double-shot weekend! ![]() Brittany Force has been... well... a force in women's wrestling in Pittsburgh for some time now. Her stay in WARRIORS and FNW has yielded big victories over some of the top women athletes in professional wrestling, including Hailey Hatred, Roxie Cotton, Mary Elizabeth Monroe, Lorelei Lee, Sassy Stephanie, and more. But there's one person she wasn't able to beat: Nevaeh! Force's ego seems to grow with each victory, especially with conniving manager Carmen Marie by her side. Will another victory from Nevaeh humble the dastardly duo of Carmen & Brittany? Or will the former SHIMMER Women Athletes Tag Team Champion Nevaeh finally fall to Force? |

6/28/10: JUNE 25TH RESULTS: BOXER VS. WRESTLER MATCH SEES BUTTERBEAN KNOCK OUT SJK! |
|
WARRIORS Pro Wrestling returned to the Ches-A-Rena in Cheswick, PA on
Friday June 25th with a huge main event for our fourth event in the Ches-A-Rena! In the opening contest, "Sweetness" Samuel Elias & Jimmy Vega$ def. "The Steel City Prodigy" Ryan Mitchell & "The Natural" Michael Blade when Elias pinned Blade after his "Sweet 450". Before the match, Vega$ rolled up his own partner to win Elias' Ches-A-Rena Championship. After the bout, Elias feigned injury to reel his partner in for a small package to win the title back, then promptly exited the Ches-A-Rena! "The Solution" Scott Fowler def. Chico (with Gentleman Joe) with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Gentleman Joe reached into his deep pockets to try and bring out a ringer in the form of NWA On Fire's Chico of the Latin Hit Squad. Unfortunately for Joe, Chico's opponent was former FNW Champion Scott Fowler, Joe's former charge. While Chico put up an impressive performance, he was put away with Fowler's Blue Thunder Bomb and was sent packing back to Maine. Jon Bolen def. DJ Young with the Meltdown. The scary intense Bolen was looking to finish the resilient rookie Young quickly, but was met with more of a fight than he expected. But Bolen's power was too much for the "Urban Cowboy" and Bolen finished him with the Meltdown. After the match, Bolen choked Young out with his chain, sending a message to "Big Time" Bill Collier. T. Rantula def. Ashton Amherst with a chokeslam. Amherst was no match for the giant FNW legend, being beaten with T's signature street sign and a whole bunch of nachos. He attempted, in vain, to take out T's knee, but was met with a giant chokeslam that led to his downfall. "No Mercy" Tommy Mercer (w/ Carmen Marie) def. "Hot Property" Jason Cage with the Mercy Kill. The debuting Mercer was led to the ring by WARRIORS' newest manager Carmen Marie, who was bringing him in to make a statement in the promotion. While Cage brought the fight to the much larger opponent, Mercer made his statement, pinning one-half of the Pittsburgh Tag Team Champions with the Mercy Kill. "Big Time" Bill Collier def. FNW Heavyweight Champion Josef Von Schmidt by DQ. This battle of the behemoths saw Bill Collier getting his first shot at the FNW Title, currently held by German Heavyweight Champion Josef Von Schmidt. Collier came within inches of capturing the gold on several occasions, but on the last occasion, he was met by a chain to the head from Jon Bolen. The ref called for the DQ, allowing Von Schmidt to keep his title, and raising the ire of Collier. The inevitable confrontation between Collier and Bolen is much more personal now, with Bolen costing Collier the gold! "Butterbean" Eric Esch def. Sterling James Keenan in the Boxer vs. Wrestler main event. Butterbean proved he is an unstoppable force, against the self-proclaimed "International Badass" Sterling James Keenan. SJK was unable to even take Butterbean off his feet, getting bodyslammed by the MMA superstar, and taken out by a knockout punch. That wasn't enough for Esch, as he proceeded to splash SJK with all 400+ lbs. for the pin! |
|

in his time away from Germany) and is ready for his match with "Big
Time" Bill Collier on June 25th at the Ches-A-Rena!![]() |

on one-half of the Pittsburgh Tag Team Champions "Hot Property" Jason
Cage. But he isn't coming alone. Rumor has it, Mercer has been recruited

statement Mercer discusses in this video he sent to WARRIORS... |

6/4/10: MATCHES SIGNED FOR CHES-A-RENA ON JUNE 25TH! TITLE MATCHES, DEBUTS, AND MORE! |
WARRIORS: What Pro Wrestling Should Be will return to the Ches-A-Rena in
Cheswick, PA on Friday June 25th, 2010 at 8:00 PM! As you may have seen
at our first three live events at the Ches-A-Rena, this ain't your typical indy wrestling
show. WARRIORS features a professional sound system, lighting, and
entrance way in a great venue with an easy-to-find location. And all of
that pales in comparison to the incredible in-ring action presented by
our athletes in the ring that night! WARRIORS officials have signed five
more blockbuster matches for that night in addition to the huge Boxer
vs. Wrestler match between SJK & Butterbean!![]() The dominant German FNW Heavyweight Champion Josef Von Schmidt has made quite an impact since his debut in Pittsburgh. Not only did he defeat FNW legend T. Rantula, but he also defeated both former FNW Heavyweight Champions before him in Sterling James Keenan and Scott Fowler. His next challenge comes in the form of "Big Time" Bill Collier! The powerful Collier has been having issues with Jon Bolen lately, but will have to be focused on Von Schmidt on June 25th as he challenges for the FNW Heavyweight Title for the very first time! Which of these two monsters will walk away with the gold? ![]() A young man making a name for himself in the Cleveland area is "No Mercy" Tommy Mercer. On June 25th, he will make his debut in the Pittsburgh area at WARRIORS in Cheswick. His first opponent will be none other than "Hot Property" Jason Cage, one-half of the Pittsburgh Tag Team Champions the Iron City Showstoppers! Jason Gory will not be in attendance on June 25th, so his partner will have to go it alone in singles competition as he takes on the debuting Mercer. Can he continue his success, or will the untested Mercer come out with the victory? ![]() The loudmouthed, obnoxious former Pittsburgh Tag Team Champion Ashton Amherst seems to have angered somebody. We haven't heard any backstage reports of disruptions caused by Amherst (besides the usual from the "Ashton Experience") but considering he is now faced with the giant T. Rantula on June 25th, somebody must have it out for Amherst. But he is not without the abilities to defeat the FNW legend. He is not a former 2-time Pittsburgh Tag Team Champion for nothing. He and partner Patrick Hayes held the titles for over a year, defeating top teams from all across the region including the best Pittsburgh, New York, Ohio, Michigan, and Philadelphia had to offer. But can he topple the 6'10" 300+ lb. giant? ![]() In the last few months, Jon Bolen has run through some of wrestling's top rookies, including Ryan Reign, Tony Hansen, and Lucio DeVeer. But he craves more competition from WARRIORS. That has led to confrontations with Michael Blade, and more recently, "Big Time" Bill Collier. But now, he's scheduled to take on one of the FNW Academy's top graduates in recent months, "The Urban Cowboy" DJ Young! Young picked up a big victory at the last WARRIORS event against Facade. However, while Facade is a quick, fast-paced wrestler, Bolen is powerful, scary, and intense. Can he be the one to take down Bolen? Or is Bolen going to continue his run through the roster in his attempt to take on a "more competitive" opponent? This huge main event and much much more featuring all your favorite WARRIORS on Friday June 25th at the Ches-A-Rena! Tickets are on sale now here on FNWwrestling.net or by e-mailing fnwtickets@gmail.com! |

5/25/10: BOXER VS. WRESTLER: BUTTERBEAN VS. SJK ON JUNE 25TH AT WARRIORS IN THE CHES-A-RENA! |
And all of
that pales in comparison to the incredible in-ring action presented by
our athletes in the ring that night!![]() The main event for Warriors 4 on June 25th has been signed, and it's a big one! The main event will pit Pro Wrestler vs. Pro Boxer as former FNW Heavyweight Champion and "International Badass" Sterling James Keenan will take on former IBA Super Heavyweight Champion, MMA, Boxing, and Toughman superstar "Butterbean" Eric Esch! Butterbean gained notoriety tearing up the Toughman Contest scene in the 90s before moving on to professional boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts. In 1997, Butterbean won the IBA Super Heavyweight Championship by defeating George Linberger, and never lost the title, relinquishing it when he left the promotion. He appeared in the major motion picture Jackass: The Movie, knocking out Johnny Knoxville. This will not be his first encounter against a wrestler, however. Many fans may remember his bout against Bart Gunn at WrestleMania XV, where he knocked out the Brawl For All winner in 27 seconds. Also, Esch has defeated many pro wrestlers in the MMA world, including submission victories over Tom Howard and Aaron "Jesus" Aguilera, and a 29 second TKO win over Sean O'Haire. How will SJK handle the 400 lb. boxing & MMA superstar? Will Butterbean be able to knock out the arrogant "International Badass"? Come to the Ches-A-Rena in Cheswick, PA on Friday June 25th to find out!!! This huge main event and much much more featuring all your favorite WARRIORS on Fridau June 25th at the Ches-A-Rena! APRL 30TH RESULTS: SJK TURNS HIS BACK ON THE FANS, ATTACKS T. RANTULA! |
|
WARRIORS returned to the Butler Days Inn on Friday April 30th, 2010 with
lots of action in front of a great crowd, despite the Pittsburgh
Penguins in playoff action elsewhere! Patrick Hayes def. Bubba the Bulldog via count-out. Hayes and Bubba were scheduled in singles action, but Bubba was nowhere to be found. Due to his apparent forfeiture of the match, Bubba was counted out and Hayes was granted the win. But something didn't seem right... Michael Blade def. Facade Pittsburgh Tag Team Champions the Iron City Showstoppers of Jason Cage & Jason Gory def. "Notorious" Shane Taylor & "The Bull of Black Mountain" Gabreal Saint to retain the titles. Patrick Hayes & Ashton Amherst def. "Big Time" Bill Collier in a handicapped match. Ashton was slated for singles competition, but was confronted by Collier, who demanded a match with the two men after word got around the back that Bubba the Bulldog was nowhere to be found thanks to an attack by Hayes & Amherst outside of the building! The much larger Collier was able to dominate the Hayes & Amherst, but the two former champs rolled Collier up and were able to keep him down for three. The inevitable confrontation between Amherst & Hayes and the Big Dogs is sure to be a big one after the events on April 30th! Sterling James Keenan came to the ring and apparently announced his retirement from professional wrestling, claiming a lack of heart and that he lost his smile. He said the last thing he wanted to do in wrestling was take on his good friend... Michael Blade. Michael Blade def. Sterling James Keenan with a roll-up. After the match, as he was about to bid farewell to wrestling, T. Rantula came to the ring, only to get low blowed by SJK and attacked with a steel chair! It was all a ruse, and SJK is not going anywhere. He just used Blade to show what a despicable human being he has become since losing the FNW Heavyweight Title, which he blames T. Rantula for. Pepper Parks def. "The Urban Cowboy" DJ Young Jon Bolen def. the debuting Chett The Jett "The Big Rig" Brodie Lee def. Jimmy Vega$ T. Rantula def. "Sweetness" Samuel Elias via DQ. Elias was tied up prone in the ropes, and T was ready to strike with his signature speed limit sign. Just then, Sterling James Keenan hit the ring and leveled T with the very same street sign that caused him to lose the FNW Heavyweight Title, and T was awarded the match by disqualification. A street fight between SJK and T has been signed for WARRIORS at the Ches-A-Rena on May 15th! |

MATCHES SIGNED FOR CHES-A-RENA ON SATURDAY MAY 15TH! |
|
WARRIORS: What Pro Wrestling Should Be will return to the Ches-A-Rena in
Cheswick, PA on Saturday May 15th, 2010 at 8:00 PM! As you may have seen
in January and April, this ain't your typical indy wrestling
show. WARRIORS features a professional sound system, lighting, and
entrance way in a great venue with an easy-to-find location. And all of
that pales in comparison to the incredible in-ring action presented by
our athletes in the ring that night! Signed for this event already... ![]() Signed after the events of April 30th in Butler, PA, Sterling James Keenan will take on the giant T. Rantula in a street fight! After T's wars with Josef Von Schmidt, SJK stuck up for the FNW veteran and challenged Von Schmidt to a match for SJK's FNW Heavyweight Title in Cheswick on April 9th. But when T attempted to level Von Schmidt with his signature speed limit sign, Von Schmidt ducked out of the way, and T ended up nailing SJK with the sign instead, beginning the downfall for the FNW champ, ending with Von Scmidt as the FNW Heavyweight Champion. SJK took exception to this and at the next Butler live event, announced his retirement from professional wrestling. However, it all seemed to be a clever ruse on SJK's part, as he used the opportunity to level Michael Blade with a steel chair, and even attack T with the very same street sign that cost him the FNW Heavyweight Title. Is this simply a misunderstanding on SJK's part, leading to this drastic personality change? No matter what it is, he's in for a war as T. Rantula has signed on for a street fight with the "Iron City Superstar" for May 15th! ![]() The FNW Heavyweight Title will be on the line on May 15th as the champion Josef Von Schmidt makes his first defense against former champion "The Solution" Scott Fowler! Fowler held the title for several months, dominating the competition that stood in his way. When he finally lost that title, he began a road back to heavyweight title contention, including victories over the intense and powerful Jon Bolen, as well as Pittsburgh wrestling veteran Jimmy Vega$. But Von Schmidt, the 6'4", 250+ lb. FNW Champ is undefeated so far, holding victories over two of the biggest stars in the company, Sterling James Keenan and T. Rantula. Will Fowler just be the first in a long title reign from Von Schmidt? Or can Fowler upset the new champ right out of the gate? ![]() Ches-A-Rena Champion "Sweetness" Samuel Elias will be in the house on May 15th! While the title will be on the line the entire time Elias is physically in the Ches-A-Rena, he does have a title defense scheduled. His opponent will be the man T. Rantula pinned on April 9th to win the title (before Elias snuck in and stole a victory), "The Steel City Prodigy" Ryan Mitchell! Mitchell is considered one of the top athletes in the Pittsburgh area, capturing several regional titles since moving back from Florida, where he held a WWE Developmental deal. But it all started in Far North Wrestling against a man named "The Legacy" Samuel Elias, a youngster trying to make a name for himself. The two men had a series of matches, with no real victor coming out on top. But now, Elias is a different man, and so is Mitchell. Will Mitchell walk out with the Ches-A-Rena Championship? Will Elias even make it into the match with the belt? ![]() Two WARRIOR Women will do battle on May 15th as WARRIORS' resident femme fatale Brittany Force, with her manager Carmen Marie, will take on "The Rated G Superstar" Mary Elizabeth Monroe! Mary Elizabeth has been making her name all around the independent scene, including her home state of Ohio. Now, she comes to WARRIORS looking to make an impact against Force, who has dominated the female competition put in her way. Can Mary Elizabeth be the one to knock her down a notch? Or can Force continue her winning ways? All this and much much more on Saturday May 15th at the Ches-A-Rena! Tickets are on sale now here on FNWwrestling.net or by e-mailing fnwtickets@gmail.com! |

CHETT THE JETT AND MORE TALENT ANNOUNCED FOR APRIL 30TH! |
FNW returns to the Butler Days Inn on Rt. 8 in Butler, PA on Friday night
April 30th, 2010! We're always happy to see our great fans in Butler,
and we're ready to bring you one heck of a wrestling show next Friday
night. Our staff has been working extra hard to sign some top talent for
this live event, and they have delivered big time! Signed for this event
already...![]() At the Ches-A-Rena on April 9th, T. Rantula was crowned the new Ches-A-Rena Champion after sending Michael Blade through a table on the floor and chokeslamming Ryan Mitchell through the ring (figuratively). But the celebration was cut short, as moments later, "Sweetness" Samuel Elias took advantage of the belt's rules, which state that the title is on the line 24/7 as long as the champion is inside the building. With the referee still in the ring, Elias rolled up T for a shocking 3, escaping with the Ches-A-Rena Championship and supposedly driving away from the building, still in his wrestling tights! Without a chance to get revenge right away, the giant T. Rantula has been festering and stewing about the underhanded way Elias got the title, and wants nothing more than to take his frustrations out on April 30th! He'll get his chance as this grudge match has been signed! ![]() After losing the FNW Heavyweight Championship, you'd think Sterling James Keenan would want nothing more than to take on the champion Josef Von Schmidt and attempt to win back the gold. But instead, he's taking another route. The "Iron City Superstar" has signed to take on former Pittsburgh Tag Team Champion Michael Blade. Michael Blade?! Nothing against Blade, as he's scored pinfalls over lots of top-level opponents, but he's far from FNW Heavyweight Championship level competition. Did SJK request this match? What's going on? PLUS... ![]() The brand new Pittsburgh Tag Team Champions Jason Gory & Jason Cage, the Iron City Showstoppers, will defend their titles for the first time since winning them on April 9th! Who will their first opponents be? ![]() WWE developmental star Chett The Jett will be making his debut for FNW on April 30th! This powerhouse, who often teamed with Pittsburgh wrestling alumni Dean "The Dream" Jablonski, contacted FNW officials about making his debut, and they've been working to sign a match for him against top-level competition. Who will his opponent be? Stay tuned! ![]() Also making his debut will be 350+-lb. Cleveland stand-out "Notorious" Shane Taylor! Taylor has been tearing up local circles with his hard-hitting lariat. Can he make an impact like he has elsewhere? ![]() Returning to Butler will be the NWA New York Champion "The Bull of Black Mountain" Gabreal Saint! Saint hasn't been seen in this area in quite some time, and is looking to win big in his first match back. ![]() Former NWA National Champion Pepper Parks returned to Pittsburgh at WARRIORS on April 9th, but was unsuccessfull against "The Big Rig" Brodie Lee. Can the arrogant star get back to his winning ways on April 30th in Butler? ![]() On the other side of that coin is the 6'5" 280 lb "Big Rig" of professional wrestling, Brodie Lee! While in previous stints in FNW, Brodie was no friend of the fans, his attitude and demeanor changed when he stepped in the ring at WARRIORS. While he was still the unstoppable mack truck plowing through his opponent with a huge boot, he embraced the cheers from the fans. Can he channel the cheers from the fans into more marks in the win column like he did against Pepper Parks? All this and much much more on Friday April 30th at the Butler Days Inn! Tickets are on sale now here on FNWwrestling.net or by e-mailing fnwtickets@gmail.com! |

WARRIORS: What Pro Wrestling Should Be returned to the Ches-A-Rena in
Cheswick, PA for our second live event in that great venue. A raucous
crowd witnessed history as two titles changed hands, and a new
championship was crowned, then lost! Lince Dorado def. Frightmare in the opening contest. The two CHIKARA imports wowed the crowd with their arial abilities and spectacular lucha libre action. Despite a valiant effort by Frightmare, including his signature Kneecilipsy, "the Golden Lynx of Lucha Libre" Lince Dorado scored the pinfall with a magnificent shooting star press! In a battle of two heavyweights, "The Solution" Scott Fowler defeated Gentleman Joe's newest charge Jimmy Vega$. At an FNW event in Butler, Fowler cost Vega$ the FNW Heavyweight Championship. But Vega$ wasn't able to get his revenge, and Fowler got the win with a Blue Thunder Bomb. "Big Time" Bill Collier destroyed Bubba the Bulldog in our third bout. The much larger Collier rolled through the Star 100.7 morning man, but Bubba refused to stay down. It took several incredible power moves to keep Bubba down for three, including a final torture rack powerbomb. After the match, Bubba asked Collier if he'd consider teaming with him as the Big Dogs. Ches-A-Rena co-owner Tony came to the ring to formally announce the formation of the Ches-A-Rena Championship! The title will be on the line at any time, as long as the champion is in the building. The first match would be a randomly drawn four-way with one fall to a finish. T. Rantula def. Ryan Mitchell, Michael Blade, and Samuel Elias to become the inaugural Ches-A-Rena Champion, pinning Mitchell following a chokeslam. This wild brawl saw everything get involved from road signs to tables, much to the delight of the crowd. Michael Blade was taken out of the match following a powerbomb from the ring through a table on the floor. After T pinned Mitchell with a chokeslam and had his hand raised by the referee, Samuel Elias rolled him up and the referee was forced to count 3 due to the rules of the championship. As a result, "Sweetness" Samuel Elias is the new Ches-A-Rena Champion! Immediately following his opportunistic victory, it is rumored that Elias left the building, not even changing out of his wrestling trunks before peeling out of the parking lot! But, he'll have to come face-to-face with T. Rantula as the two meet in Butler, PA at the Days Inn on April 30th! The Iron City Showstoppers of Jason Gory & Jason Cage def. Pittsburgh Tag Team Champions Patrick Hayes & Ashton Amherst to win the titles! The champions had firm control of the match and were looking to finish things with their signature powerplex, like they did in Butler against the Showstoppers. But this time, Gory & Cage were able to avoid the move. With Gory & Cage ready to strike, Amherst & Hayes grabbed their belts and high-tailed it up the ramp... only to be met at the entrance by the Big Dogs: "Big Time" Bill Collier & Bubba the Bulldog! Instead of facing the Big Dogs, they went back to the ring only to be rolled up by Gory & Cage, ending the year long reign of terror by the champs! In women's action, Brittany Force defeated Angeldust with a chicken-wing face buster. Force returned to action in Pittsburgh against her rival in other territories, Angeldust. While the smaller Angeldust fought back against Force, the ringside distraction from Force's new manager, Carmen Marie, proved to be the advantage as she distracted Angeldust long enough to allow Force to hit her finisher for the win. After the match, Angeldust was humiliated as she was slapped by both women after being laid out by Force. "The Big Rig" Brodie Lee defeated Pepper Parks with a big boot. While Parks is an incredible athlete, he was no match for the much larger "Big Rig", and he knew it as he brought a chain into the match. The chain, which was well concealed away from the referee by Parks, was used to pummel the mid-section of Lee. But the big boot of Lee was too much for Parks and it kept him down for the three following an incredible match. Josef Von Schmidt defeated FNW Heavyweight Champion Sterling James Keenan to win the title! The larger Von Schmidt tried using everything in his power to keep the "Iron City Superstar" down, but nothing did the trick. That is, until the referee was taken out by a boot from SJK. As the ref was down, T. Rantula, who's had his problems with Von Schmidt in the past, hit the ring with his signature street sign. He swung away at Von Schmidt, but the "German Heavyweight Champion" threw SJK in the way, and the champ was clobbered (accidentally) by T! Von Schmidt disposed of T. Rantula and covered SJK for the win, and the title! After he recovered and realized what happened, SJK was none too happy with the FNW legend! Far North Wrestling returns to action on Friday April 30th, 2010 at the Butler Days Inn in Butler, PA, while WARRIORS will return on Saturday May 15th, 2010 to the Ches-A-Rena in Cheswick, PA! |

WARRIORS: What Pro Wrestling Should Be will return to the Ches-A-Rena in
Cheswick, PA on Friday April 9th, 2010 at 8:00 PM! As you may have seen
the last time around in January, this ain't your typical indy wrestling
show. WARRIORS features a professional sound system, lighting, and
entrance way in a great venue with an easy-to-find location. And all of
that pales in comparison to the incredible in-ring action presented by
our athletes in the ring that night!![]() From the CHIKARA pro wrestling promotion in the eastern half of Pennsylvania comes the next match signed for WARRIORS on April 9th! The young, excitable Frightmare has been taking the wrestling world by storm since his debut last year, even being named the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's 2009 Rookie of the Year! Frightmare can only be described as "a frenetic ball of kinetic energy," and his finisher, a moonsault double knee drop to the mid-section known as Kneecolepsy, has been putting away some of the top talent from around the world. As a member of the tag team known as Incoherence, Frightmare and his partner, FNW alum Hallowicked, have become one of the more popular teams in the tag-team heavy CHIKARA. On the opposite side of the ring will be "The Golden Lynx of Lucha Libre" Lince Dorado! A heavily-praised fan favorite in the CHIKARA rings, Dorado recently joined with the BDK faction, waging war on the entire CHIKARA promotion! His breathtaking shooting star press helped gain him a victory in the promotion's annual King of Trios Tournament in 2008 alongside luchadores El Pantera & Incognito. The battle of CHIKARA vs. BDK comes to WARRIORS on April 9th, who will come out on top of this high-flying battle? ![]() Two men who are not-so-fan-favorites will be returning to Pittsburgh on April 9th at WARRIORS. Pepper Parks is a former NWA National Heavyweight Champion and a man who has even been seen on WWE TV. But his attitude during his previous tenure in FNW earned him no fans in the audience, despite his incredible in-ring abilities. Also returning on April 9th will be the "Big Rig" Brodie Lee! With his big boot and running Liger Bomb, the "Big Rig" in an unstoppable force who runs through any competition put in his way. There's no word from officials who these two men will be facing on April 9th, but stay tuned because with only a week and a half left, things are sure to be heating up heading into WARRIORS: What Pro Wrestling Should Be on April 9th at the Ches-A-Rena in Cheswick, PA! Also signed for Cheswick, PA on April 9th: FNW Heavyweight Title Match! ![]() Pittsburgh Tag Team Title Match! ![]() |

And all of
that pales in comparison to the incredible in-ring action presented by
our athletes in the ring that night! In fact, several FNW personalities
would agree: Already signed for Cheswick, PA on April 9th: FNW Heavyweight Title Match! ![]() Pittsburgh Tag Team Title Match! ![]() |

WARRIORS: What Pro Wrestling Should Be will return to the Ches-A-Rena in
Cheswick, PA on Friday April 9th, 2010 at 8:00 PM! As you may have seen
the last time around in January, this ain't your typical indy wrestling

entrance way in a great venue with an easy-to-find location. And all of
that pales in comparison to the incredible in-ring action presented by
our athletes in the ring that night! April 9th will feature a Pittsburgh Tag Team Title Match between two teams that met at the February 12th Far North Wrestling event in Butler, PA. The Pittsburgh Tag Team Champions of Ashton Amherst & Patrick Hayes have defeated teams from all across the world. They have defeated The Clash from Michigan, the Hi-Def Supernovas from Ohio, former Pittsburgh Tag Team Champions Michael Blade & Sebastian, then-CHIKARA Campeones de Perejas The Osirian Portal from Philadelphia (by way of Egypt), and New York's All Money Is Legal. In Butler, PA on February 12th, they took on one of the hottest young teams from Pittsburgh, the Iron City Showstoppers of Jason Gory & Jason Cage. Gory & Cage had the champs on the run and near defeat when a slight miscommunication between the two young men led to their downfall. The officials behind FNW and WARRIORS noticed this and decided to give the Showstoppers another chance, this time on the WARRIORS stage! Can the Pittsburgh Tag Team Champs retain yet again? Or will Gory & Cage be the ones to topple the reigning champions? Already signed for Cheswick, PA on April 9th: FNW Heavyweight Title Match! ![]() Pittsburgh Tag Team Title Match! ![]() |

Despite the feet of snow on the ground, Far North Wrestling delivered a
hot night of huge wrestling action inside the Butler Days Inn in Butler,
PA on Friday night, February 12th! The night started off with Josef Von
Schmidt interrupting the Star Spangled Banner, much to the dismay of the
Days Inn crowd. "Sweetness" Samuel Elias picked up a victory over Facade in a quick-paced, back and forth match with The Last Kiss. "The Urban Cowboy" DJ Young got his first win inside an FNW ring against his much larger opponent, the Milwaukee Mauler, with a roll-up. Jon Bolen defeated Ryan Reign very quickly, then defeated former tag team champion Michael Blade. "Big Time" Bill Collier defeated newcomer Kelly O'Shelly with a sitout powerbomb. FNW Pittsburgh Tag Team Champions Ashton Amherst & Patrick Hayes defeated the Iron City Showstoppers of Jason Cage & Jason Gory following their variation on the Power-Plex. Gory & Cage showed signs of dissention following the loss. FNW Heavyweight Champion Sterling James Keenan defeated Star 100.7 morning man Bubba the Bulldog. Similar to what Bubba did in Cheswick on January 29th, he apologized to the fans before the match and promised to have a straight match with SJK, not using any dirty tricks or underhanded tactics. Bubba held true to his word, but ended up tapping out to an Anaconda Vice. NOTE: Following this match, several fans in the crowd received word that Google and Yahoo were reporting that terrorist leader Osama bin Laden had been captured, but the rumors were unconfirmed. We soon learned that the rumor is untrue, and is a rather infamous virus transmitted via e-mail. For more information, visit http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/osama.asp Josef Von Schmidt defeated the giant T. Rantula in the main event grudge match. While the referee relaxed the rules for this grudge match a bit, he ended up getting squashed between T and Von Schmidt in the corner, which led to Von Schmidt using T's signature road sign against him for the win. After the match, Von Schmidt continued the attack but was stopped by FNW Champion Sterling James Keenan. SJK challenged Von Schmidt to a match at WARRIORS at the Ches-A-Rena on April 9th for the title! Already signed for Cheswick, PA on April 9th: FNW Heavyweight Title Match! ![]() |

SNOWED IN? HEAT UP WITH FNW ACTION THIS FRIDAY NIGHT!!! |
While the rest of Pittsburgh is snowed in this week thanks to SNOWMAGEDDON
2010, Far North Wrestling WILL go on as scheduled this Friday night! The
Butler Days Inn will heat up and hopefully melt some of this snow with
some of the hottest wrestling action you'll find on the independent
scene today! FNW officials have rounded out the rest of the live event
card, and it will include the following...![]() Graduate of the temporarily out-of-duty FNW Academy, Ryan Reign has been plying his trade around the Pittsburgh area since his debut in the ring back in April at an FNW live event in Irwin, PA. Since that day, he has become known as one of the premiere young lions in the Pittsburgh wrestling scene, showing glimmers of his trainer FNW Heavyweight Champion Sterling James Keenan. He has even won gold in other promotions in his rookie year, something almost unheard of in professional wrestling. But on Friday night February 12th, he'll be across the ring from an individual known as Jon Bolen. Not much is known why Bolen is such an angry person, but when he steps between the ropes, he becomes a scary combination of intensity and power. One thing that is known about Bolen is that he is always on the hunt for gold. Will he send a message to the FNW Champ through his protégé Reign? Or will the rookie sensation pull out the victory over big, bad Bolen? ![]() After suffering a loss to "Sweetness" Samuel Elias at WARRIORS, "Big Time" Bill Collier is looking to get back into the hunt in FNW. Although Elias stole the victory with his feet on the ropes, Collier is still frustrated over the loss. With the intent of impressing, Collier asked FNW officials to put him in the ring with any competitor looking to step in the ring with him. Enter Kelly O'Shelly. The powerful Irishman came to FNW officials with the same request for his FNW debut this Friday night. Who will come out on top in this one? ![]() Dirk Ciglar is one of the most accomplished professional wrestlers in the Pittsburgh area. He has captured gold in nearly every promotion he has stepped foot in. He was long considered one of the premiere athletes not only in Pittsburgh, but in professional wrestling. But after a long hiatus from the squared circle, he is on the outside looking in. When he returns to the ring this Friday night, he'll be faced with a tough challenge in former FNW Pittsburgh Tag Team Champion. Blade is on a roll after defeating Bubba the Bulldog at WARRIORS in front of his hometown crowd, and a win over Ciglar would be another feather in his bandana. Will Ciglar be successful in his in-ring return? Or can Blade continue his path of success? ![]() DJ Young is only about halfway through his rookie year in professional wrestling. So far, he has taken on some of the most impressive wrestlers on the FNW roster in Kato, "Big Stiff" Seth James, and Ryan Mitchell. But on Friday February 12th, he faces his biggest competition to date: the Man Who Made Milwaukee Famous! The Milwaukee Mauler is known for bowling over the competition, and now he has the "Urban Cowboy" in his sights. Will Young be able to pick up his first victory in an FNW ring? Or will the Mauler live up to his name with the resiliant rookie? Also signed for Butler, PA on February 12th: Hard-Hitting Rematch! ![]() FNW Heavyweight Title Match! ![]() Pittsburgh Tag Team Title Match! ![]() With Big Wins at Warriors, Both Looking For More Momentum! ![]() |

THREE MORE MATCHES ADDED TO NEXT FRIDAY'S FNW IN BUTLER, PA! |
We're only one week away from our big return to the Butler Days Inn in
Butler, PA for Far North Wrestling on Friday February 12th 2010!
We've already announced one half of our huge main event as T. Rantula
and Josef Von Scmidt tangle once again after their tumultuous tussle at
WARRIORS on January 29th! Tonight, we add the second half of the main
event, plus a title match a match with momentum on the line!![]() We round out our double main event for February 12th with a big FNW Heavyweight Title Match. For months, outspoken and obnoxious morning man Bubba the Bulldog has been petitioning FNW officials (particularly FNW promoter Dan Polinsky) for a shot at the FNW Heavyweight Title. And for months, his requests often went ignored, like most other things Bubba says when he comes to FNW. But something changed on January 29th. Bubba came to the ring, and instead of running down his opponent, the fans, and everybody else, he decided to apologize. After a bad few weeks with the announcement of B-94's format change and all, Bubba decided a change was necessary. So he had a nice fair singles contest with Michael Blade, but came up on the losing end. Even in defeat, Bubba was uncharacteristically humble, and asked for a rematch with Blade on April 9th in Cheswick. This behavior convinced FNW officials that maybe they should finally give Bubba the chance he was begging for, so the match has been signed! ![]() Ashton Amherst & Patrick Hayes are closing in on one year as FNW's Pittsburgh Tag Team Champions. After defeating some of the top tag teams from New York, CHIKARA in Philadelphia, Ohio, and Michigan, they have laid claim as not only one of the best teams in Pittsburgh, but one of the best teams in wrestling period. But on February 12th, their challenge does not come from outside, but from within! Two of the best young cruiserweights in Pittsburgh have teamed up and deemed themselves the Iron City Showstoppers! Jason Gory & Jason Cage have been prominent members of the FNW cruiserweight division since its inception in 2006. They've teamed up in several promotions outside of FNW with great success, and now they come back to Butler to try and take the gold from the reigning tag champs! Can they pull it off, or will Hayes & Amherst continue their dominance? ![]() At WARRIORS on January 29th, "The Solution" Scott Fowler and "Sweetness" Samuel Elias got two huge wins, both in two very different ways. Fowler returned to action in FNW taking on the intense Jon Bolen, picking up the win on the straight and narrow, unlike his behavior in previous matches. Meanwhile, Elias defeated the monstrous "Big Time" Bill Collier, but with his feet on the ropes behind the referees back. These two different results may have something to do with the fact that Elias is now managed by Fowler's former manager "Gentleman" Joe Perry! The misnomered "Gentleman Joe" has been one of the most devious and underhanded managers in the Pittsburgh area for well over a decade, and he seems to have casted his evil spell on the young, impressionable Elias. Either way, Elias and Fowler both have huge momentum going into February 12th with their victories over Bolen and Collier, and now they look to keep it up with a victory over the other. Who will come out on top in Butler, PA? JOSEF VON SCHMIDT & T. RANTULA SETTLE THE SCORE IN BUTLER! |
|
At January 29th's WARRIORS debut at the Ches-A-Rena, German Heavyweight
Champion Josef Von Schmidt made his Pittsburgh debut by running down the
crowd and America, much to the dismay of proud American T. Rantula. The
two big bulls battled all around the ring until the referee counted both
men out. The situation turned scary as both men had to be pulled apart
by several members of the locker room, and even then things didn't calm
down. Both men continued their scuffle until they got to the locker room
and were able to be permanently separated. Officials were quick to sign
a rematch for FNW's Butler Days Inn return! Upon hearing about it, Von
Schmidt sent this message to FNWwrestling.net... Signed for Butler, PA on February 12th: Hard-Hitting Rematch! ![]() |

JANUARY 29TH WARRIORS RESULTS: SUCCESSFUL DEBUT IN CHESWICK! |
|
WARRIORS debuted to a standing-room-only crowd at the Ches-A-Rena in
Cheswick, PA to show Pittsburgh "what pro wrestling should be!" "The Solution" Scott Fowler def. Jon Bolen. These two powerhouses opened up the show with an incredible back and forth contest, but the former FNW Heavyweight Champion Fowler was able to defeat the powerful, scary and intense Bolen! "The Steel City Prodigy" Ryan Mitchell def. "The Urban Cowboy" DJ Young. The resiliant rookie Young was looking to pick up a huge victory over the world-traveled Mitchell, but the "SCP" was able to squeak out a win with his Steel Curtain DDT. "Sweetness" Samuel Elias def. "Big Time" Bill Collier. In this battle of "Big Time vs. Big Ego," Elias and his manager Gentleman Joe Perry used every sneaky trick in the book, as Elias used his feet on the ropes to keep Collier down for a three count. Chris Dickinson def. "Hot Property" Jason Cage and Josh Daniels. In this fast and furious three-way dance, the hard-hitting Chris Dickinson impressed everybody as he was able to take out Daniels and Cage both, finishing Cage off with a Falcon Arrow. Michael Blade def. Bubba the Bulldog. The usually outspoken and obnoxious Bubba began his night apologizing to the crowd for his behavior in the past, and even had a fair and even contest with Blade. But the former tag champ was able to get the victory with a roll-up out of the corner and defeat the radio morning man. After the match, Bubba challenged Blade to a rematch on April 9th when Warriors returns to the Ches-A-Rena. Pittsburgh Tag Team Champions Ashton Amherst & Patrick Hayes def. All Money Is Legal. While the amusing antics of the debuting K-Murda & K-Pu$ha endeared AMIL to the crowd, the champions were none too pleased. But Hayes & Amherst were able to get the win with their variation on the Power-Plex to retain the titles. T. Rantula vs. Josef Von Schmidt went to a double-count out. The two big men brawled all around the Ches-A-Rena and both men were counted out. But things turned scary and the men had to be separated by the locker room and dragged away from one another. A rematch has been signed for FNW's return to the Butler Days Inn on February 12th! FNW Heavyweight Champion Sterling James Keenan def. Shiima Xion. Xion left the promotion several months ago, preparing himself for a tour of Mexico and Japan over the summer and fall. When he returned on Friday, he was on his game and came within inches of becoming the new champion. But SJK was one step ahead of the "Future of Fashion" and planted him with the MK Ultra to get the win! WARRIORS returns to the Ches-A-Rena on April 9th, 2010 at 8:00 PM! |

Warriors live pro wrestling will be coming to you on Friday January 29th, 2010

your typical indy wrestling show. Warriors will be a totally different

being added to this already huge live event!![]() Patrick Hayes & Ashton Amherst are at the top of the heap in the tag division. The current champs have defeated teams like Ohio's Hi-Def Supernovas, Chikara's Osirian Portal, former tag champs Blade & Sebastian, Michigan's The Clash, and more. Now, they are faced with competition from the Empire State, New York's own All Money Is Legal! A.M.I.L. have been tearing up the east coast independent scene for the past few years, taking on the best and brightest from companies such as CZW, Velocity Pro Wrestling, Afa's WXW, and more. Now, they make their Pittsburgh debut as they take on one of the best teams in the Pittsburgh area today, Amherst & Hayes. Can they make an impact on their debut, or will they be just another stepping stone on Amherst & Hayes' road to tag team dominance? ![]() One of Pittsburgh's most loud and outspoken wrestlers is none other than B-94's Bubba the Bulldog. From verbally abusing wrestling interviewer and announcer Jon Burton, to running down the fans, Bubba is obnoxious and generally one of the most hated individuals in of wrestling. With the recent word that B-94 is once again changing formats, Bubba will surely be in more of a foul mood than usual on January 29th, as he'll have to take on a hometown hero, Cheswick's own Michael Blade! Several more matches have been announced for FNW's Warriors on January
29th, 2010 at the Ches-A-Rena in Cheswick, PA! This one is shaping up to
be a huge night for wrestling in Pittsburgh, and these matches just keep
adding to the excitement!![]() Former FNW Heavyweight Champion "The Solution" Scott Fowler claimed to have retired from wrestling in FNW following a loss to Sterling James Keenan in a heavyweight title TLC match in October. But come November, Fowler was back on the scene already, hired as a special guest referee for the title match between his nemesis SJK and the challenger (and seemingly Gentleman Joe's successor to Fowler), Jimmy Vega$. SJK and Vega$ had an incredible contest, but when Vega$ tried to use a chair, Fowler protested, instead hitting Vega$ with it and allowing SJK to get the pinfall. The two arch-rivals shook hands in the ring, and "The Solution" had officially returned. In his first match back in FNW since October, Scott Fowler will be faced with the scary, powerful, and ever-intense Jon Bolen! Bolen was able to overpower the huge 300+ lb. Onyx in November, and has his sights set on being a heavyweight title contender. A win over Fowler will do just that, but it wont come easy! ![]() A huge three-way dance has been signed for Warriors as "Hot Property" Jason Cage returns to FNW competition as he takes on the returning Josh Daniels and the debuting Chris Dickinson! Cage was an FNW mainstay during the formation of the cruiserweight division, and wowed audiences with his cat-like quickness and incredible ability. He now returns, faced with a huge task in front of him. Josh Daniels quickly gained fame as a star of the Ring of Honor promotion, having stellar performances and drawing comparisons to ring greats from years past like Dean Malenko. The last time we saw him in FNW, he was inches away from becoming the NWA National Champion and FNW Heavyweight Champion all in one night! The third man in this match will be one of the hottest rising stars on the independent wrestling scene today, Chris Dickinson. A hard striker and incredible mat wrestler, Dickinson's star is on the rise as he competes for promotions such as the long-running Jersey All-Pro Wrestling, Cleveland's Absolute Intense Wrestling, and will be a part of the first-ever live event of EVOLVE Wrestling in New Jersey, run by Gabe Sapolsky of ROH, Dragon Gate USA, and ECW fame. This match will be one to watch as the action comes fast and furious on January 30th! ![]() "The Steel City Prodigy" Ryan Mitchell returns to Far North Wrestling on January 29th as he will take on the resilient rookie D.J. Young! Young burst onto the scene in FNW this past October, going the limit with veterans Seth James and Kato, earning rave reviews from critics and industry insiders alike. The country cowboy from Oklahoma City, OK will be faced with another young veteran as he takes on Ryan Mitchell in Mitchell's return to FNW rings. Since his debut in FNW back in November 2008, Mitchell has become one of the hottest prospects in Pittsburgh wrestling today, and it all started with that first match in Far North Wrestling. Now, he returns for the biggest night in FNW, Warriors: What Wrestling Should Be! Will this be Young's first big win in FNW? Or will the SCP come out on top? 11/23/09: FNW 11/20 RESULTS: FOWLER RETURNS... HELPS SJK?! |
|
It was a wild night in front of a packed house at the Butler
Days Inn on Friday November 20th! Ashton Amherst & Patrick Hayes def. The Hi-Def Supernovas to retain the FNW Pittsburgh Tag Team Championship. The Supernovas were impressive in their debut, but the champs were able to retain using their own variation on the PowerPlex. The FNW Heavyweight Championship challenger Jimmy Vega$ came to the ring, accompanied by "Gentleman" Joe Perry, obviously his latest charge. Vega$ called to the ring the special guest referee for the title match later in the evening with Sterling James Keenan: Scott Fowler, SJK's recently-retired nemesis! Sebastian def. Zubov. The "Russian-American" did not endear himself to the crowd, but Sebas certainly did. The former tag champ donned a single sequined white glove and moonwalked his way to victory over Zubov. "Wildfire" Tommy Rich def. Seth James. The former four-time FNW Heavyweight Champion Seth was close to victory several times, but the crafty former NWA World Heavyweight Champion had one trick up his sleeve in the form of a roll-up with his feet on the ropes. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan def. Samuel Elias. Elias proved to be no match for the unique Hacksaw, falling to the three-point stance clothesline. After intermission, Kato def. DJ Young. The wily veteran Kato was able to topple DJ Young in the rookie's second match, but Young was still impressive. Jon Bolen def. Onyx. The powerful, scary, and intense Bolen returned to FNW, toppling the man-mountain Onyx in his first Butler Days Inn appearance in years, but needing a handful of tights to do it. FNW Heavyweight Champion Sterling James Keenan def. Jimmy Vega$ with Scott Fowler as the special guest referee. To everybody's shock, Fowler played fair throughout the majority of the match. But when Vega$ became frustrated, he called for Gentleman Joe to give Fowler a chair to help him out. But Fowler shocked the world when he clobbered Vega$ with the chair and pulled SJK on top of him to count the victory! After the match, when SJK realized what happened, the two bitter enemies shook hands! |
